In this conversation style workshop, you can ask Pete and John about their careers, their improv experience, their play style, and more. Whether it’s acting tips, audition questions or simply “how’d you get on 30 Rock,” get the stories, tips & tricks of the trade from some of the best in the business.

 

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

An improviser, actor and writer for 25 years, John Lutz began his career acting and writing with the Second City National Touring Company. John played Lutz on 30 Rock, for which he won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. He wrote on Saturday Night Live for seven seasons, winning 3 Writers Guild Awards and a Peabody Award. Film acting credits include: The Comedian, Sisters, Sleepwalk with Me and Friends with Kids. Television acting credits include: 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Playing House, Chicago Med and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. He recently wrote and produced the NY Times bestselling audiobook Escape from Virtual Island. He created, co-wrote and produced the series Mapleworth Murders with Paula Pell which you can watch on Roku. He currently writes and performs for Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Peter Grosz is well known as 1/2 of the two guys in the Sonic Drive-In "Two Guys" commercials. He is an American actor and writer. TV Writing Credits include: The Colbert Report, Late Night With Seth Meyers, The President Show. Grosz can also be seen on-screen in HBO’s VEEP. In April 2023, Grosz made his Broadway debut playing Robert Sarnoff, President of NBC, in the Tony Award-winning play Good Night, Oscar.
